Can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind Emperor’s Champion?
JJ: Sure! The inspiration for Emperor’s Champion came from a desire to create an immersive experience that transports players back to the 12th Century era of the Crusaders. We wanted to capture the drama and nailbiting moments of this time period while offering players the chance to win big. The medieval theme, combined with our innovative game features, makes for an epic slot game adventure.
The game sounds thrilling. What are some of the key features that players can look forward to in Emperor’s Champion?
JJ: Emperor’s Champion is packed with exciting features. Players will enjoy a 5×4 game grid with 20 active paylines on every spin. Special symbols, such as Multiplier Wilds, can appear during both the base game and the Free Spins round. These Wilds not only substitute for other symbols but also come with multipliers of up to 5x in the base game and 10x during Free Spins. The Champion symbol plays a pivotal and game changing role as well.
The Free Spins round seems quite unique. Can you elaborate on how it works?
JJ: The Free Spins round is triggered by landing three bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5. This round features a trail that progresses with each spin, and any Wilds that land during the spins leaving behind colored Wild Frames. These Frames are persistent on the grid and and further Wilds landing in them will add multipliers up to x10. All the Frames will become their associated Wilds or Multiplier Wilds in the final spin, with the Champion being worth x10 as well!
Speaking of the Free Spins round, could you explain how the Multiplier Frames work and what makes them special?
JJ: The Multiplier Frames are one of the standout features of Emperor’s Champion. During the Free Spins round, when a Wild lands, it leaves behind a Multiplier Frame that stays on the grid until the final spin. Further Wilds landing inside the Frames on the grid will upgrade those Frames to have Multipliers up to x10. In the final spin, all the Frames that the player has collected and upgraded will become Wild and Multiplier Symbols, taking on the Frames value. This means the more you build up the Frames in the Free Spins round, the higher the potential for significant wins in the final spin, as these multipliers can really stack up and pave the path to glory!
What role does the Champion Symbol play in the game?
JJ: The Champion Symbol plays a key role in the game and can land on any spin. The symbol can upgrade Wilds into Multiplier Wilds in both the base game and the Free Spins round. This adds another layer of excitement and winning potential to the game. The Champion symbol also interacts with the Bonus symbol, portrayed as the enemy of the Crusaders. The Champion will destroy any Bonus symbols that have landed on the reels, turning them into maximum Multiplier Wilds up to x10.
And what about the Crusade bonus? How does that enhance the gameplay?
JJ: The Crusade bonus can trigger randomly on any spin. When activated, a Champion symbol and two or more Wild symbols will land anywhere on the reels. The Champion will then give a battlecry and upgrade those Wild symbols into Multiplier Wilds. This feature increases the chances of creating winning combinations and adds an unexpected thrill to the game.
